Sorry guys, I haven’t written very much in the last few weeks. I am really busy making some tutorials for a client. I promised myself to comment the runways I liked most during the fashion weeks, but suddenly came this job and I hasn’t been able to say no.
There is also the project diventare-stilista.com that is having a great success and it takes me a lot of time during the day. But you won’t get rid of me…
Anyway a bit late I got really impressed from the Marni fall winter runway 2012-13 . As I wrote in the title “less is more”. Strong colour contrasts with bon ton shapes. I love the message the maison wants to give to all of us:
We don’t need to overdress our bodies with flashy clothes and accessories to be sophisticated and elegant. I think it’s not easy to create colour contrast without causing a shock to the people are watching the garments.
Once again, Consuelo Castiglioni has created a fantastic collection, mixing dark with pastels colours and graphics motifs with bon ton shapes.
Hot piece: Sleeveless coat with the upper part in fur and maxi military pockets on the bottom.
Weak piece: Real fur in general. I am firmly convinced fashion designers don’t need real fur to create a great garment.
